The 'Languedoc' designs are based on traditional forms using decorative detailing with a classical twist. They work particularly well for large vases such as the extra large 80cms diameter vase, which weighs in at approx 80 kgs.
The various details are based on the Croix de Languedoc, the Sun, the Fleur de Lys (the most popular) and the Faune, Tulipe and Lion. More detailed, the various Angel designs (Anges, Angelot, Cherubim) are extremely elegant either in an interior or exterior setting.
There is a choice of all the traditional glaze colours, plus more for some designs, and also Cerusé Whitened. Alternatively, the authentic-looking patina of the Antique finish gives a stunning replica of a 200 year old vase.
These Languedoc vases look wonderful with appropriate lush planting or simply placed on a patio or terrace in groups of two or three different sizes.
All the terracotta pots are fired to very high temperatures in the kilns (over 1000°C) and slowly cooled down after firing, so extremely robust and strong against the winter elements. However it always advised not to place glazed terracotta in very exposed positions. Always bring under cover any vases that could suffer from being left outside in very severe cold weather.
